Steel I Beam / Universal Beams - Sizes and Prices
We stock a broad range of beams which are designed to support horizontal loading across their axis and are therefore much deeper than they are wide in order to prevent bending.
The most common beam in construction is the I-beam, also known as a universal beam – a steel member with an I or H-shaped cross-section. I-beams have a strong centre or “web” for vertical support, along with flanges on either side to provide strength in the horizontal plane. They may be used on their own or cast in concrete.
We supply superior quality BS EN10025-2-S355 JR, JR IPE and JR IPE (AA) universal beams.
These are ribbed steel rods used to reinforce concrete structures from the inside by forming a “skeleton” around which the concrete is set
We stock a broad range of cold- rolled, galvanised and hot -rolled sheet and plate which have been cut from coils.
reinforcing mesh is embedded in concrete to add the necessary degree of tensile strength to support large loads;
Expanded metal, walkway grating and general purpose mesh are three related product categories that often overlap in function and design
